Beth Tawney (Liz Anderson) (Street Articles Author)

Hello, my name is Beth Tawney (Liz Anderson). I am a wife and mother of one daughter (my pride and joy!). I currently do work outside the home. My family has been adopted by 2 cats – Sidney and Lucy! We have had Sidney since 2007 and Lucy since 2009. They have finally become good friends. It has taken a while!

I have been a cat lover all of my life! My first cat adopted me back in 1994. I had Bobo for 3 years before I had Deejay adopt me. I have always gone to shelters or cat organizations for my cat adoptions not breeders. I wanted to help save a life of a cat in need and offer them a good home.

During my many years of cat ownership, I have noticed that all of my cats have thrown-up hairballs. Yuck! What an unpleasant thing to come home to when you have been out all day! That is the last thing you want to have to do is clean-up a hairball pile or piles especially if you have more than one cat! It seems like the cats always find carpet. They seem to miss the tile flooring all together?! The other thing that bothered me was the sound of the poor cats when attempting to get rid of the hairball! Wow, it sounds so painful!

I decided to start researching hairballs. I was looking for a way to help my cats stop having hairballs or help slow down on the amount of hairball piles I was finding. I also figured if my cats were having this problem, then I am sure other cat owners were having the same problem. So I want to help share my findings with you.
