I live with my wife, 2 cats and 1 year old Golden Retriever named Rusty on six acres in Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island British Columbia, Canada.

We love the outdoors and outdoor activities. We get out (rain or shine) hiking, camping walking the dog etc. as much as we can.

I believe that active living is important for health and wellness and outdoor activities is a great way to stay fit and healthy. I have been active all my life and have been an enthusiastic runner, cyclist, hiker etc.

My passion is hiking and I love to write about hiking, hiking tips and how to hiking articles especially with the beginner in mind.
