Hello, I am Chelsea, I have a family and career in occupational therapy. I graduated high school early, went right into college, and fairly quickly decided on my course and completed it. I was fortunate enough to have had several unique experiences by the time I was 21 which encouraged my natural draw to creation and development. I helped start a restaurant from the ground up with my husband, I was a large part of another franchise start up (which failed...it happens). I have always loved to experiment and I am known for constantly researching and trying new things. I like to invent and create things. This love of learning coupled with my decision to not let fear rule my life have lead me to some truly wonderful places in the past few years. For instance, in 2014 we decided to sell everything we owned and move in to a tiny house of 172 sq feet with our three year old daughter. It was a wonderful experience in simplicity and intentional living. Through that experience and the blog I kept for the first few months, I learned that I wanted to take my love of writing and turn it into second career, bringing both income into my pocket and beauty into the world. I was exposed to loss at a very young age and it has taught me that every second counts. It has given me a unique "big picture" perspective. I do not want to wake up one day and realize that I spent my whole life just trying to get through the next day. One of my biggest personal goals is to always keep the big picture in focus and to remember that people are the best investment I can make. I am far from perfect and was given a dose of selfishness that is more than my share, however I work very hard to make time to do things for others. I want to turn writing into one more area of service that will help people. I am excited to be a member of streetarticles and look forward to not only getting my writing out there, but reading yours as well!
