Hi – my name is Chris Lee and I’m just a keen golfer who has the time to pass on to other keen golfers information and ideas I have on the main things that seem to be of interest to them.

I am retired, have been playing golf since I was 12 years old, and have been lucky enough to spend many happy days with friends on the golf course and afterwards in the bar (within the drink-drive limit of course). I don’t have any particularly strong views about golf, but have had lots of experience, including playing on a wide variety of courses in many countries, involving travel companies, hotels, airports, etc. Also my friends never cease to relate their adventures, so one way or other I have got the message about both the good and the bad things that are out there, and just enjoy letting people join in so they can try to make the best choices for themselves.

In my younger days I got down to 2 handicap, and I still play to 8 (with a bit of a struggle), and this certainly helps when looking at the sort of equipment which is available today, and how this kit sometimes genuinely improves the low handicap, average or beginner golfers. I can still hit the ball off the tee as far as I did when I was 20 years old, and this is entirely due to keeping going, and the amazing improvement in drivers. However, my grandson can hit a 4 iron as far as I can hit my driver, and of course his tee shots are 60 yards past mine. (How often do we say – “what could I have done if I had this equipment at the age of 20?”)
