I hold a Diploma of Education (Primary), have a strong interest in health, and have studied NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), a time based therapy and Hypnotherapy to the levels of Master Practitioner and Trainer. I am also a Reiki Master.

My current interests are sharing online both here and on squidoo (where my username is canoz). My current focus is understanding and sharing in the areas of personal growth and the unconscious mind.

I am a wife and mother with a small but strong network of family and friends. I enjoy coffee with friends, craft outlets such as patchwork, embroidery and scrapbooking, traveling, doing things with my family, and cooking when I have the time and inclination.

Glad you could stop by. Life is indeed beautiful.

Children And Housework
We never know just what our children are capable of unless we allow them to actually DO stuff! I’m a huge advocate of allowing children to help around the house. I think it’s important from a very young age that children do housework. My kids can do an amazing amount…

An Exercise In Priorities!
Visitors! My sister arrives tomorrow, as does my father in law. My husband returns home after a week away (no, he’s not a visitor but he will appreciate a fresh bed!) and my parents arrive in three days time. In fifteen minutes I leave for work so my morning shower…

Life's Funnel - Spiralling Onward!
I am spiralling headlong into a funnel. Not downward but rather forward. Drawn inexplicably onward. All at once I’m in slow motion and then moving with inescapable speed. Looking around me I see my partner and children, all looking at each other, circling each other, laughing, smiling, questioning. Turned upside…

Experience A Unique And Dynamic You
You are amazing. Wonderful. A unique and dynamic individual. There’s no one on earth exactly like you (it makes me smile just thinking about that). How special you are! Have you had the experience of holding a brand new baby, your new baby, the moments after if came into the…

Your Unconscious Mind - The Language Of The Body
Our body is the storehouse of our memories and emotions. Our unconscious mind holds the key. It can open the door to present information to our conscious mind for interest, resolution or remembrance. It can close the door and archive the emotions and memories away for future reference. Unresolved experiences…

Life's Quilt: Joining All The Scraps!
"When life gives you scraps make quilts". Most of us patch workers have heard the cute little adage. It’s quaint and sweet and makes a great cross-stitched message on a craft room wall. Today, arriving home after fitting in way too much into my day, I feel tired. No, I…

Losing A Child; A Loss to All Parents
Last month a wonderful family lost their son in a car accident. He was only 19. Why do we always say ‘only’ in these circumstances? I’m sure it’s because we all know there ‘should’ be so much more to life. Loving, experiencing, growing, doing, being…. now all gone. I didn’t…

Memory Snapshots: The Perfect Pictures
A picture is worth a thousand words. How lucky are we to have our memories stored like a million snap shots taken with the cameras that are our eyes. Richer in colour than any print for they also contain the sounds, smells, emotions of the memory. Reading a wonderful article…

Limitations Of A Self Help Guru
When we learn great self help techniques they are only as useful as the amount we use them. Leaving these tools in our internal toolbox is like buying a new car and leaving it in the garage. I like the adage; “Use it or lose it!” People who have embarked…

Facebook Timeline? It's Nothing Compared To This!
Facebook has ensured that the notion of having a ‘timeline’ has become the latest online idea. People either love it or hate it. Mostly hate it; if my ‘friends’ are to be believed. In its defense I think many people are uncomfortable with change. The whole notion has made me…
