I am currently an aspiring writer after leaving a fruitful career in the oil and gas industry. I began in an engineering capacity supporting exploration drilling projects with economic evaluations and technical advice.

If the exploration drilling proved up viable oil and/or gas reserves I assumed project management of the development drilling. In one successful project I managed roughly $35,000,000 worth of development to establish several thousand barrels of oil per day.

This eventually led to my involvement with a private, boutique company that evaluated and reported on major oil and gas companies for investors such as hedge funds. I prepared in-depth reports of the company's oil and gas reserves, land holdings, exploration plays and economic well being.

The acquired ability of doing this in a manner that would both satisfy the needs and keep the attention of non-technical readers was no easy task. The challenge and enjoyment in this rejuvenated my life long love of research and writing.
