Hi, my name is K. Les Baker and I am delighted you are taking time to read my Bio. After 30 plus good and profitable years in the Machine/Tool business I found myself suddenly without hardly any income as a result of outsourcing machine work to foreign countries and the September 11, terrorist attack that disseminated the Airline Industry. With very little to show for my efforts of seeking new customers or accounts I began to look for other opportunities. Real Estate Investing seemed to hold a lot of promise. And after spending thousands for seminars and home-study courses I gave it a shot. Thanks to the closing attorney who never checked the balance of the loan on the property I was buying I was stuck with a house in foreclosure. Fortunately there was still enough equity to rehab and realize a modest profit for all my efforts and risk. With the changes in the RE market and the increasing needs of my elderly father I abandoned RE investing for the time being and began looking for an opportunity that would: • Allow me to work at home. • Offer Unlimited income potential. • Allow me to pursue my interests. • Have low operating and start-up costs. • Provide flexibility to allow me to take care of my dad and other responsibilities. I investigated multi level marketing MLM which seemed to hold promise. I had been involved with a MLM company back in the mid 80s and did very well with them just working part-time until they got hit with a massive Class Action lawsuit that severely damaged the company and all the businesses people like myself had built. I did however gain some knowledge about marketing and the MLM industry. I studied hard and was granted a license to be a Health and Life Insurance Agent. Wew, what a waste of my time. It is by far the most competitive industry I have ever investigated. Almost 90% of new agents last only about 90 days before giving up. Unfortunately, it turned out that the company I contracted with offered inferior products and I wasn't about to lie to make sales. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of hard working honest agents working with reputable companies out there but believe me, it is a very tough industry to get established in and make any kind or solid income. There is so much turnover also. Later, I began to turn my attention to the Internet that seemed to be growing by leaps and bound despite the difficult economic times. It occurred to me there were thousands if not in fact millions of people making their living marketing and selling their products on the Internet. I discovered the income potential of selling products on places such as eBay, Amazon, and even CraigsList. Unfortunately, after my dad passed away and was faced with liquidating hundreds of items from the estate it presented an excellent opportunity to give eBay and CraigsList a shot. I was successful in my efforts and I still sell products there to this day. However, I really wanted to develop another significant source of income. Something I could work hard at to put in place and then kind of put it on autopilot to generate income. My investigations led me to what is known as Affiliate Marketing. This seemed to meet all of my above requirements so finally after a great deal of time seeking to learn how I finally stumbled across an excellent resource that offers specialized Affiliate Marketing Training. Affiliate Marketing has turned out to be all I had hoped it would be and there just doesn’t seem to be any upward limit to how much I can earn.
