Hello all! I live in North Texas and am a native of Southern California. I am married to a nice Canadian fella I met in a chat room on the internet back in 1997. We now have a Cub Scout in elementary school, who is extremely brilliant (of course!) in all things science, excels in reading (of course!) and video games (of course!). We also have two furkids- a wonderful Great Pyrenees and an incredibly rotten black cat who likes to bite.

I worked in telecom since moving to TX in 1995 until I was laid off - not for the first time but decidedly for the last - in 2007. I decided then to try and work for myself and that if we could swing it, it would be good to be home with my son after school. I do various part time things such as audits, merchandising, and product recalls before school lets out, as well as making some on the internet doing surveys, taking polls, searching, completing tasks, and pay per clicks.

I have been an avid reader since elementary school and enjoy various types of books. As long as it's interesting I'm there. I am a huge fan of Stephen King, enjoyed the Sookie Stackhouse series and the Hunger Games books, and we can't forget Harry Potter of course!

My family loves movies, especially Star Wars and just about any Science Fiction. Me & my hubby are big fans of Fringe and were glued to Lost when it was on. I am a HUGE Beatles and R.E.M. fan, everything British Invasion and a lot of the music from the 60's, but also 80's new wave and alternative.

These days, most of my book reading is done using either my Amazon Kindle Keyboard, or a large print book from the library. The main reason is I have terrible eyes! Yes okay I'm getting kinda old but not THAT old lol. Nonetheless I've found that extended reading on a device that is backlit doesn't do my eyes any favors.
