Kim van Hoorn (Street Articles Author)

Hi, my name is Kim van Hoorn. Although coming from a background in graphic design in London, I’ve diversified quite a bit in my time; I learned to adapt to whatever life threw at me. As I like to read both fiction and fact, I have quite an extensive library. My interests are many and varied including horticulture, drawing and painting, hard and soft landscaping, building and construction, carpentry, playing and writing music, water movement and all that entails, Indian cuisine, writing in general and philosophising. I moved from Cornwall to SW France some years ago where I decided to renovate, virtually single-handed, a 200 year old house by a stream, when time and funds permit, of course. I tend to focus my illustrating now on drawings of interesting buildings and old houses in particular. If you’d like an illustration of your dwelling place or just to see some of my etchings, please feel free to visit my current website: http://www.penandinkdrawings.org/
