My name is Leroy, my wife Allison and I have been married for just over one year and as can be expected, we are still learning many new things each day. We met in college where we were both studying music and even through the day to day competition and stress, managed to fall in love. We dated for about two years before finally getting engaged and being married. This may seem like a wonderfully long time to some of you, it still does to me, but we are still learning new quirks and passions as we go. One of the things that first drew us together was our passion for food. Both of us absolutely love food and are also very excited at the prospect of cooking meals for each other. This is to be expected as my wonderful wife is Italian and my own family is rooted in the southern cooking tradition. We began with the usual pasta dishes which of course were spectacular, but as we continued honing our cooking skills we began looking for more ambitious recipes. This of course has led us to begin experimenting with different types of cooking and various ingredients. The most recent chapter in our lives is that we have both started working in natural and organic foods. This of course has led us to start questioning various things that we had been raised to believe about health and nutrition. I would say that by far the biggest breakthrough that we have discovered in our research and experimentation is coconut oil. More specifically, unrefined extra virgin coconut oil.
