I grew up in Wichita, Kansas and attended college there as a non-traditional professional student for more than 10 years, during which I also joined the National Guard as a medic. I pursued many studies there at various times, and after completing a tour of duty in Iraq in 2006, completed degrees in philosophy, biology, chemistry, and psychology.

As military discharge and graduation approached, I turned my attention to yoga and the less known yet increasingly widespread technologies and crafts having to do with biotecture, permaculture, and the like. After practicing daily at a local yoga studio for more than a year, I decided to leave the university in favor of two months of immersive yoga instruction in California with the well known Doug Swenson.

I had reduced and given away, or otherwise sold off the majority of my possessions and continued my travels in that year to many interesting places, including numerous national parks (Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Petrified Forrest and Painted Desert) and my travels had brought me into contact with spiritual teachers such as Dr. David Hawkins at Sedona, and Geshe Michael Roach at Diamond mountain. I was beginning to experience the life of spiritual communities and teamwork, and I enrolled at a 5-week workshop at Arcosanti in Arizona to learn more about architecture and self-sustaining themes. These travels had also left me with a certain zeal for hiking and camping.

A few more months of travel, even to Toronto and Montreal in Canada, and I returned to the U.S. to study investment and trading at OTA in Dallas, and opened up an LLC. During this time there were some family matters concerning my father's health, and my maternal grandmother's death, and ultimately I returned to my hometown of Wichita Kansas with my father in tow to follow up with teaching yoga at my former studio, as well as from a home studio in the downtown district of Wichita. I began practicing what I learned from the trading school, and began developing financial goals in order to pay off my student loans, that I could progress towards the creation of a business enterprise combining and sharing of those interests: yoga, biotecture, trading, and other forms of internet-run business.
