Meggy Harley (Street Articles Author)

Hi there, I’m Meggy, high school computer science teacher, geek, and dog lover. Oh, and like most married women, highly skilled in diplomacy, ego manipulation and first aid, not always in that order but often simultaneously if home improvements or flat packed furniture assembly is underway. I also love to read, write and cook, so writing about cooking is a pleasure – as is the recipe testing.

Committed to lifelong learning for all and being an information junkie, I waste far too much time on the Internet reading, but am in demand for quiz nights! Teaching teenagers is challenging, fun and sometimes scary – you have no idea when they say “Look Miss” just what is about to be thrust at you, under you and sometimes right over you – beaten eggs on one memorable occasion!

To relax and chill out I walk the dog and I write. Currently projects include computers peripherals and in particular graphic design hardware and software. I’m also interested in how the Internet has now almost completed globalization and yet managed to leave behind the ‘information rich – information poor’ society with an ever widening gap.

Like most writers I love feedback and will always reply, so feel free to help me out with your comments and don’t forget to ask for help too.
