Hi everyone. My name is Mike Gaudreau and I am a retired baby boomer. Like many of you I have always loved to travel. And since I have retired I am traveling even more! I have been able to travel to many countries and have seen many beautiful and historic places. I have met many great people; locals and travelers alike. I have been able to use my language skills; English, French, basic Spanish, and basic Italian. I wish I knew more languages since it really opens up doors and helps you to connect. The photo on this page was taken in Paris a few years ago.

I would like to share my experiences with you and to pass along some hopefully useful travel advice I have picked up over the years. I have learned the value of traveling well on a budget as well how to use the web to plan my travels amongst others. There is just so much information and resources out there to help us.

Travel has allowed me to also become a pretty good photographer, allowed me to sample local cooking and beverages. I have also been exposed to many languages and cultures that make our world such a wonderful place. I have found that most people I have met abroad share the same hopes aspirations as we do here in North America.

I hope you share my passion for travel and I hope you find the information and advice on this site helpful for your travel planning. I consider that I have have only scratched the surface in terms of my own travelling and I hope to go to more places and add to my experiences which I will share with you.

All the best.
