Mrs. Heidi (Street Articles Author)

I am an educator, a counselor, a nurse, a chef, a taxi driver, a cheerleader, all because I am a MOM! I have three little children under the age of 6, but I also have a Bachelors of Science in Education as well as a Masters in Public Health.

When my first child came along I was a full-time middle school educator teaching science in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. I loved my job, but knew that I needed even more in the home. I wanted to be there to help my children grow and develop. It was a difficult transition for me. At first, I felt like I wasn't accomplishing anything besides laundry and cleaning the house. I was struggling to find things to keep us busy throughout the day. I wanted to do things with my baby to help her learn but we didn't have a lot of money. That was when my research on different home education options started.

My search started by looking at blogs that have ideas on how to teach your preschooler at home. I wasn't finding what I was looking for, I wanted more hands-on, specific activities for my child's age group. So I went back to my middle school science curriculum and started to simplify the concepts into easy activities my children could do to learn.

As my children got older their needs changed and so did the curriculum. I also realized I needed outside help. I started to try out the education boxes that come to your house monthly, as well as the online preschool programs, and preschool online games. I have created this website to help review and sort through all the latest baby and preschool teaching methods that are available today. Hopefully this will help you narrow down which is right for your family without paying thousands in various subscriptions. If you have any questions or need further clarification on any of the sites reviewed, please email me at
