Pat Cook (Street Articles Author)

I am a retired public school teacher living in Texas. I love to read and work on my computer. For fun I have two Chihuahuas that keep me laughing! Someday, I would like to write a novel, but for now I'm just experimenting with blogging and writing for Street Articles. This pretty much fills my day. When I do have a bit of "down" time, I like to crochet and do other hand crafts. About eighteen years ago I had a heart attack that set me back quite a bit in my teaching career. I've had seventeen years' experience being retired now, so I feel like I might be able to help others anticipating retirement be better prepared and able to enjoy theirs more. That's the purpose of my writing right now.
