As I got older and as life “happened” I realized that I could no longer eat as I had done in the past. My metabolism started slowing down, I became less active, and my weight started to increase. This had a big consequence on my self esteem and my personal life. As you can imagine, I became frustrated and depressed with my situation. For me the biggest problem was not knowing how to eat right. To make matters worse, I love to cook and I have always been surrounded by food. I had always eaten the same foods and prepared them in the same way. The family recipes or the convenient, but often unhealthy, meals after a late day at the office were the norm. I think this happens to a lot of people because we get caught up with life and we are not taught otherwise. I’ll admit that I tried exercising to lose weight but failed because I kept eating the same meals and the same recipes. When tried to diet, I found them too restrictive or the recipes too time consuming to be practical. I ended up reverting back to what I had been used to my whole life and weight kept increasing. It wasn’t until I learned how to make a lifestyle change that I saw results and lost weight. Looking back, I wish someone would have taught me sooner. I lost over 32 lbs by learning how to eat properly with balanced nutritional meals following this popular online diet plan.
