My college degree includes a double major: Psychology and History. The psychology major is helpful for all life issues. I am writing and blogging on domestic abuse/violence, mental health issues arising from domestic abuse and Intimate Partner Violence. I hope my knowledge of Psychology and my personal experience with abuse will enable me to help other people, mostly women and children, who are or have experienced IPV, and some of the mental health issues arising from the abuse.

My degree in the other field, History, was to allow me to be a teacher in secondary education in public schools, but since I followed my husband around several cities to get his career established ,my own career as a teacher took backseat to his. This is simply another issue of control in an IPV relationship that I do not recommend a woman let happen.

I have learned a lot the hard way. Life experiences can be a bitter, and sometimes, better teacher than all the college courses combined. I will, however, utilize both as I seek to help other people who are going through domestic abuse or even if its on the past for you, we both know we still need to help one another...because it never goes completely away...as always, sheila

This is A Test Of Rapid Writer
I wanted to give rapid writer a chance to see if it was any different than WP. So far I don't see any difference. But I must proceed. Here in L A it is sleeting. The arctic blast has moved as far south as the Northwest Coast and Panhandle of…

The Good News : A Love Story
It turns out to be true...He does love us...Sunday School 101...John3:16. Loving us so much that He chose to come as a simple Galilean carpenter...chose to die in our stead. Before He spoke the universe into existence He had known the only way humanity could get out of the mess…

Mr Smiley Face
The fake innocence on Mr Smiley Face is an apt description of my soon-to-be ex husband. That's his public persona. It's ironic because I never saw that person who lived at home with me. Even in 44years of marriage I only saw Mr. Smiley Face on very rare occasions. Today…

Counselors, Counselors And More Counselors
Greedy me, needy me...the situational crisis that I am in necessitates the need for three separate counselors. Each of my three counselors, for domestic abuse, work at different clinics and one works out of his church office. It will require only one if I and the Counselors connect. Up until…

Wealthy Affiliate Is More Than An Online Business
For me this community, Wealthy Affiliate, has become a group of like-minded friends. The greatest part of belonging to this community has been the chance to live chat with other members. I have received quick responses to my "newbie" questions by many members. Most of the answers given have, as…

Where Do You Go When It's Over?
I always knew that I would have to save some money to get away from my husband for my safety. The reason being he had adamantly refused my requests, my demands for him to go. Even though he was the offending party he stubbornly refused. Even when he had promised…
