My history of writing started in elementary school. I wrote a story for an assignment that my teacher loved so much that she made me read it in an assembly in front of the entire school. I read three more stories in the school assembly before grade six.

In Junior high I had exactly one creative writing assignment which my teacher also loved. She made me read this in front of the class then posted it on the wall for others to read.

In high school I also had exactly one creative writing assignment. My teacher loved it as well. She posted it in a provincial short story contest judged by the local university.
