As a child I fell in love with sports and being active. Basketball, however, was and is my favorite. I love everything about it, from the fitness, to the teamwork, to the skill, you name it. It is one game that requires a total body coordination. I played organized ball since fifth grade. My high school team made it to the state semi-finals in 2003 when I was a junior. That was also the same year that I landed my first slam dunk in real game. After high school I started coaching basketball and I loved being on that side of the game as well. I was somehow able to take a team that was win less the year before and turn them around to have a winning season. I started to actually learn more about the game as a coach than I did when I played growing up. I learned offensive plays, defensive strategies, teamwork tactics, and so on. However, I really liked focusing on improving individual skills in various skill categories like shooting, jumping, rebounding, boxing out, etc. I learned that if each player on the court knows what he has to do first, then the team, as a whole, will have a stronger foundation.
