In my younger years I competed in both track and field, as a high jumper, and in Martial Arts, as a fighter (light contact). I always worked hard in sports and as a martial artist I qualified to compete in the Junior Olympics. While I never got to compete in the Junior Olympics (competing at a national level is very expensive) I was proud of myself for qualifying. My interest in fitness and exercise science grew as a natural extension of my participation in sports. While I no longer compete in competetive athletics I am still a fitness and exercise enthusiest, striving to learn new and interesting things, constanly improving my education. At 18 I took a personal trainer certification course through the ISSA, opening my mind to a whole new world of exercise theory. I realized that just hard work was not enough to succeed as an athlete. That you had to also work smart if you wanted to succeed. That education through the ISSA provided me with another, quite unexpected, benefit. It gave me a knoweldge basis from which to judge comercial training products and programs, highlighting lots of crap that is out on the market today. That crap on the market is the reason I founded this website. I wanted a resource for people to find good quality information. I wanted a place that people could find good quality programs. I want to help people find fitness products that work, getting to the good stuff, and improving their game. I hope that is what I do for you.
