23 Things I Learnt In 23 Years

I have had 23 wonderful years on this planet!

I have learned so much in these past years that I want to share with you guys some of these valuable life lessons! Here is a list of some of the most important things I learnt in my life, they are in no particular order:

01: A Little Push Goes A Long Way

I call my girlfriend “my Zahir” because she pushes me to be all I can be: She is the main reason I am writing these articles today and working on websites. I just hope I can return the favour to her and to others who may just need a little push to get to where they want to go!

02: Do Not Give Up

When things don’t work out the first time, that doesn’t mean they never will! Keep focused and you can achieve anything.

03:You Always Have A Choice

There are always different ways to deal with questions, situations, problems and life. Decide on what you think is best and go for it. If it turns out to be a bad decision, don’t worry too much because you chose what you believe in and THAT is saying something!

04: The Weather Is An Inspiration

The weather never seems to be affected by what people say, it always does what it wants. Maybe we should be like that more often!

05: Worrying Is Useless

Worrying is useless unless it gives you the energy, focus and determination to improve your life.

06: Alcohol Is Evil

Too much alcohol I mean LOL! But then again all the fun times I shared with my friends and loved ones over a “substantial amount” of alcohol is well worth the hangovers.

07: There Is Always Hope

Keep your head up!

08: You Are Responsible

You are responsible for your life. You create it. Do not blame your shortcomings on others. You have the power to do great things. Accept what you have and improve on them.

09: Cooking Is So Much Fun

I really love to cook. Thanks to my father who taught me some basics in the kitchen, I now enjoy cooking some great tasting food, it totally relaxes me.

10: Time Management

Make sure to use your time wisely, It is very limited and valuable. I am just now starting to manage my time and I feel so much more organized.

11: Our Loved Ones Are Not Forever

My grandfather died about a year ago. It was the first death I experienced in my family! Such an ugly experience! Makes you appreciate more the people we care about! Cherish the memories!

12: Family Is Important

Good or bad. They are all we’ve got!

13: Money Is Not Everything

While it is nice to have money, it is not everything. Remember that the best things in life are free! More on money...

14: Money Management

Ohh I wish I learned this earlier! I spent so much money on things that I really didn’t need! I just wish I saved that money to be more productive with it now! But I can’t focus on that, which brings me to my next point:

15: Do Not Dwell On The Past

Let it be, I learned to accept all that happened to me before (good or bad). It is not worth our focus and attention. Move on to creating a brighter future.

16: Dreams Do Come True

Yes they do! Do not let anybody tell you otherwise! Do not let somebody that didn’t’ chase their dreams stop you from chasing yours.

17: Take Care Of Your Body

I never used to eat healthy food. Always on junk / fast food. Which left me with a stomach so big I look like a pregnant woman! I am now learning to eat more healthy, exercise and keep fit. Again; Thanks to “my Zahir” for that.

18: Be Positive

Nothing good ever comes out of being negative! It is an ugly human trait that we need to learn to control! Be positive, enjoy your life! Do not let negative people, words and events bring you down!

19: School Is Important

Getting an education is such a valuable asset! I never continued with my studies. Never really thought I needed school before but now as I get older I realize how wrong I was! Be Cool, Stay In School!

20: Sunsets Are A Joy

WOW! Such a beautiful sight when ending a day. It’s like that red colour in the sky is washing away your problems, promising you it will come back again tomorrow for you to have another chance of living a great life! Maybe it just has this effect on me! :)

21: Procrastination Is Easy

Yep, it may well be the easiest thing we can do! That’s why a lot of people get stuck not doing what they are supposed to do. It’s so much easier to delay that goal than to go after it! That’s why I am focused on ending my “lazy” ways.

22: Life Is Beautiful

The world is a wonderful place to be! So much to see, touch, smell and experience! It is filled with crazy adventures and achievements waiting for us to discover and achieve! Thanks to my mother for breathing life into me, allowing me to live, learn and discover!

23: Being Grateful

I learned how to be grateful for the tiniest thing, I realize that that’s the key to unlocking a positive mind. Being grateful is more than simply saying “Thank You”. Feel the happiness and joy in your heart while you receive all the good things that life has to offer!

THE END...

I really should have done this when I was 15, because this took me waaaay too long to write haha! I hope you enjoyed my article! Everyday I learn new lessons, everyday a new experience! Please feel free to elaborate on some of the points and share with me some other life lessons! I would love to hear what you have to say!

Thanks for tuning in! Hope it wasn’t too long of a read! :)

I wish when I was 23 that I knew or discovered half of what you have. A wise young man you are, I just cannot at this late hour think of something I could add to your list, or for that matter find what our resident expert (Heather) did, changing your "the end" into "the future" she is really quite brilliant isn't she?

LOLI wouldn't call myself "wise" Rob! I am just trying to be the best I can be. I still have a lot of work to do! :) Thanks for the comment! :)

Isn't "trying to be the best I can be" wise? Isn't knowing the 'work' isn't done wise too? Guru in training here Rob!

How wise to see that, this is a man in training and I think one, so wise at that age, he will become great. Having hidden behind a name like his, without a photo for so long, has had most wondering when he or she would come out from behind the wall of secrecy. Now HE has, his knowledge is a driving force for others of his age. Beware Heather Dear I think he has been reading a lot of your articles and is close on your heals in wisdom. Not that he could ever catch up to you but he has IT. What ever IT is, and only you would know.
