Push Till Something Happens

Have you been trying, and trying to make changes in your life and nothing seems to be working, and you don’t seem to be seeing any significant improvement?

You must continue until something happens. Changing a life is sometimes a lifelong challenge. Trust me, I know, my life is a work in progress. Some days are spot on and I can see big improvements, then there are days when I battle and wonder if anything is happening at all.

There are days when I make it up the road a few steps, then they’ll be days that I think I am stuck on that road unable to walk ahead, unable to get traction in my life. It is the most frustrating feeling you can experience. Maybe you have been in that position, maybe you have experienced these kinds of feelings in your own life.

I am here to say to you today “Persist until something happens.” Keep on, keeping on, like a marathon runner who runs a race. The runner never quits, no matter how tired he gets, no matter how sore he is, and no matter how exhausted he is, he keep going towards that yellow finish line.

Life is difficult and making changes to your life is not easy. It is real work. You must be ever mindful of the changes you are trying to make in your life. They need to be at the forefront of your mind. If you are not conscious of the need for change, then it will not come as rapidly as you would like to see.

When you have one of those days and you explode at loved ones, insult people for no reason, and let that negative, rude, attitude out of the bag and you are sitting there assessing your day, and how you took two steps backwards on The Road to Motivation, you must, you absolutely must, keep on, keeping on.

I was watching a Sunday morning talk show. One of the guests was Sharon Osborne. They asked Sharon how she kept her marriage to Ozzy Osborne intact after 30 years. She went on to say that even though there were rough patches in the marriage she always said it would be too easy to quit and to file for a divorce. She said that through all the trials and tribulations they kept working on the marriage.

This is what I am telling you; fight off the disappointments and the misunderstandings. Keep running, keep moving forward even when life is unfair, and bitter. Keep persisting even when you fail and fall back two paces. When you fall down you’ve got to get back into the race. Get off the sideline and start running in the race of life again. Forgive yourself; forgive your past, leave behind the land of self-pity. Pack up your tent and get ready to move into the land of plenty, the land of hope, the land of success.

The Creator of the universe has a magnificent plan for your life. He only wants to reveal it to you. He wants you to be passionate about your life, he wants you to love the life you have been given, and most importantly he wants you to be out there fulfilling all the opportunities and options that come along in your life.

The take away message today is this: “Persist Until Something Happens.” Go out this week and continue to do the hard things in life.

Keep working on your attitude, your negativity, and the self-pity in your life until you see change.

• Keep reading the self-help books

• Keep listening to the motivational CDs

• Keep attending motivational seminars

• Keep talking to your creator and asking for help

• Keep that exercise and dieting program up

• Keep meditating and praying for guidance and help

Yes, I know it’s a lot of work, yes, I know you are tired, yes; I know you are frustrated at the lack of improvement in your life. The message today is Persist, Persist, Persist till the change comes and then you can sit back and say it was worth it all because the change has truly come into my life and I am better for it. Remember never quit; change is just around the corner. Now go out there and have an awesome day!
