Your face tells a lot about your well-being, so it is important to take good care oacne2f it. Acne is a common skin condition that comes about when oil and dead skin cells congest the skin’s pores. When this heals it leaves undesirable scars, and most times than not the acnes and the scars can affect our self esteem and hence our social life. At some point in life a good number of people suffer from acne menace. It is therefore important to know how to treat them naturally when this happens to you.

Simple ways

1. Wash your face twice every day.

Wash your face twice daily with a gentle cleanser. This is important as it keeps the skin clean, helps the skin to keep it’s glow and retain its natural oils. Do not scrub your face, as this is damaging, instead gently cleanse it with your fingertips or a soft fabric or cotton wool. Cleanse your face in the morning and in the evening just before your go to bed. A point to remember is that, you should never sleep with your make up on as this will clog the pores and aggravate the acne breaks.

2. Exfoliate (scrub) your face.

This is the process of gently scrubbing the face to clear the dead skin cells that pile up and clog the pores hence causing acnes. Some of the natural things you can use to do this are; natural honey, salt and sugar

3. Tone your face

Ensure that, every time you cleanse your face or exfoliate it you as well tone it. This helps in tightening the pores on your face reducing the chances of dirt and oil clogging them. You can purchase toners from local stores or use home made toners, such as lemon and cucumber water, apple cider vinegar diluted with water to reduce stinginess in it. Toners should not be rinsed after application.

4. Apply a moisturizer.

Knowing your skin type will enable you apply what suits you best. Some of the natural mosturizer include; shea oil, cocoa butter, olive oil and coconut oil.

5. Eat a healthy diet and Drink a lot of water.

This cannot be emphasized enough. A healthy diet contributes to big a percentage of your well-being and your general look. Eating a lot of fiber, fruits and vegetables is key in reducing acnes and related symptoms. On the other hand water aids in removing toxins from your body and cleansing the skin, thus, it is important to ensure you drink it regularly throughout the day.

6. Avoid touching your face.

This sounds difficult; most people are fond of touching their faces from time to time. Unfortunately this just makes the acne problem worse. Avoid breaking/squeezing the acnes or resting your face on your hands, this only introduces more bacteria to your skin and will make your acne worse.

Treating acnes naturally is affordable and very effective. There are no negative side effects as opposed to using cosmetic products with chemicals added to them.
