Treating acne can be pretty expensive, I know, and a lot of the acne products on the market these days only shower temporary results to the problem. I've found that back acne home treatments work the best as they are more natural, less harmful and don't cost nearly as much. I'm going to share with you the top 5 ways to treat your back acne from the comfort of your home.
The first thing you need to do is to exfoliate the skin. This is when you take a loofah, or a soft shower scrubber and loosen away the dead skin on the surface of your body. This will help stop new pimples from forming, loosen up the plugs that have been created over your pores, and will make way for healthier skin cells to grow.
When your in the shower, take your soft shower scrub (or loofah) and gently rub the skin on your back in a clockwise motion making sure not to irritate the skin or the pimples. You don't need to do this more than once or twice a week to get results from it. If you do it too often you will end up irritating the skin and causing inflammation to the pimples (a big no no). When done right, this will be very helpful in getting rid of the acne on your back faster.
Next, its time you discover the power of cold water and its effect on acne. You probably use hot water when cleansing your acne, but at the end of your treatment you would benefit from using cold water.
Cold water has the ability to tighten up the pores, generating new skin growth, and making the redness of the pimples go away (making them smaller). Not to mention, cold water can also heal the acne that you have faster.
When your taking a shower, and after you've used any cleansers that you may use, turn the water to cold and let the water run over your back for at least one minute. You can also get a towel wet with cold water and gently place this over the areas of your back with acne. You can do this as many times as you would like throughout the day to help quicken your recovery.
Lemon juice and the pulp have been used for a long time now to help with pimples. I like to freshly squeeze a lemon three times a week and rub the juice and pulp over my back. This clears away the dead skin cells and the oil that you may have on your skin. This also will help reduce the pimples that you already have and the red marks that are left behind by pimples.
You can spread the lemon juice over your back while in the shower to prevent a mess. I've found that its best to let this sit on your back for a few minutes before rinsing off for the best results.
Apple Cider Vinegar has proved crucial for many people wanting to get rid of their acne. You have a lot of toxins and excess hormones in your body causing your body to create acne. The apple cider vinegar helps remove these harmful things from your body and get that clear, healthy looking skin you want.
This is taken as a drink. With about 8 ounces of water in a glass, add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and drink. Do this once in the morning then again at night. You might have a hard time with the taste at first, don't feel bad, I did too. You'll get use to the taste, but until then, you can help with the taste by making a cup of tea, and adding 1 teaspoon until you've become accustomed to the bitter taste of the drink. While this one takes a little getting use to, its by far one of the better back acne home treatment that you can find.
The fifth thing that you will need to do is... drum roll please... Sleep. Think I'm kidding? Your skin is the bodies biggest organ. Its always trying to repair itself, whether your awake or asleep. But when your asleep your body is able to do its best work, your complexion is healthier, and you have a glow about you. This is how it is for just about everyone. Cheat yourself out of good amount of sleep, and you cheat yourself out of a good complexion. So, the next time your sleeping, dream sweet dreams of getting rid of back acne.
