Egg whites are a natural way to help smooth the skin and tighten the complexion. When you use egg whites as an acne scar remedy on a regular basis (or even semi-regular) you will help to close up the pores and help reduce the appearance of your scarring. While eggs don't have the greatest of scents, they are quite cheap, and they are easy to use. They are also fairly effective at treating acne scars, so it's worth giving them a shot to see how things work!
You will first need to separate an egg white from the yolk. This isn't difficult to achieve, although it can be a little confusing if you haven't done any baking before (skip this paragraph if you know how to separate an egg). Crack the egg and pull it in half so you've got two halves of the egg shell. The yolk should be in one, and some egg white in the other. Do this over a bowl so that you catch the egg white! Transfer the yolk between the two halves of the shell, tipping it forwards and backwards until you achieve separation!
Now you can simply brush it onto your skin with a finger, or a cotton bud or pad. Avoid the eyes and the areas around the eyes as egg white has a tightening effect, so I don't want to you tighten this delicate part of your face! Leave the egg white on the skin until it dries, then wash it off well with warm water. Use a natural soap to ensure you get all of it off. You may want to stretch the muscles in your face after you've done the egg whites remedy for acne scars, as your skin can feel a little constricted.
How long will this remedy take to work? Time, is the correct answer! I can't tell you if it will take one week, one month or longer. Natural remedies for acne scars are a bit of a pain in this regard - you'll simply need to be consistent, keep working on it, and try as many different acne scar treatments as you can. You will probably need to perform several of these egg white treatments before you begin to see some good results - I recommend taking pictures every week so that you can see the progress (or lack thereof) of your scarring. Just keep chipping away at those scars! You can clear them up.
