There is a significant amount of reason why anyone would be addicted to Facebook. If you’re like me than Facebook is just another business module used to marketing yourself or brand. In other words, if you’re not using Facebook for business and you have any of these symptoms, then you have Facebook Addictive Disorder. Good thing for you there is a way to fix this. I will show you how.
What are some Facebook Addictive Symptoms?
- Staying up until 4 or 5 in the morning when you have to get up at 7
- You get anxious anytime you are not on Facebook and as soon as you get a chance, you get on Facebook
- You have about 20 to 30 Facebook games on your profile page saying you’ve won or is playing consistently
- You never have time for social life, instead Facebook is your social life
- You think everyone on Facebook is your friend
- You take people too serious and end up creating unnecessary drama
- Your health is at steak
These are just a few ways to distinguish whether or not you are a Facebook addict. And most of the time, the only reason why you are addicted is because most of the people you talk to on Facebook are addicts as well. Trust me, if no one was steadily responding to your crazy posts, or playing those ridiculous games, you wouldn’t be playing them either.
Obviously, you know that lack of sleep is unhealthy for your body can cause serious problems later on in life. Trust me, I know, because I was recently diagnosed with Dyspnea. I have always had it as a child, but it was seldom off and on. But now that I’m an adult with much bigger problems, and I don’t as much sleep as I need to, it’s worst. When you don’t get enough sleep, it causes stress on your body, and I’m sure we all have enough stress already, and don’t need more.
To be honest, I sometimes get anxious about not being able to get on the internet anytime I want. All I can think about is how I need to check my email or do some work and of course check and see if I have any important messages on Facebook or comments on my articles. Facebook has become so much part of my business that it’s a must that I’m on it frequently. Now, if you are anxious to get on Facebook just to chat with friends, play games, and other fun things, then yea, it is a serious problem.
I never play games on Facebook. The only apps that I fool around with are the 21 questions and I hardly do that. If you have 20, 30 or more so games on your page, you are Facebook addict and this is one of the main symptoms. You have too much time on your hands if you ask me.
I have a few friends that are phonahonlics, and I mean, they talk on the phone all the time, every chance they get. This is normal for some people, because a phone can be taken with you anywhere, since almost half of the generations have a phone. At first, I thought that a lot of people have the internet, but I was wrong.
Less than 50 percent of the entire word has internet access:
- Africa- 6.7%
- Asia- 44%
- Europe- 22.1%
- Middle East- 3.4%
- North America- 12.0%
- Latin America- 10.4%
- Oceania/Australia- 1.1%
As you can tell, not that many people are up to date. I wonder if it’s because they don’t have the money to get it or they are not familiar with it. Well, I guess this topic is for another article. If they did have the internet, however, I bet they will probably be addicted to.
Honestly, people that think everyone on Facebook is their friend are the ones that really don’t have real life friends to begin with. I think that Facebook kind of opened doors for less popular individuals or anti-socable ones that feel more comfortable speaking their minds without physically showing their faces. I don’t know, I may be wrong, but there is a possibility.
I see people take certain comments on Facebook to serious or they think someone is talking about them in their post. Personally, people do these things, because that’s exactly how they feel about themselves and it just so happen someone mentioned it, not even knowing they are talking about that person.
Final Thoughts on the Subject
See, this is why Facebook should be taken for business and not so much pleasure. However, without pleasure, then business people on Facebook wouldn’t have a business. Humans are humans, it’s best to balance both fun and business on Facebook. If you don’t know how, just take it one day at a time. Make a commitment to yourself to not be on Facebook for a day, then two days, then a week. Find something constructive to do other than being on Facebook. Maybe find a good book to read, or hang out with your friends, go for a walk, or even clean the house.
If you want to know how to market on Facebook or make Faceook for business and don’t know how, there are tons of helpful resources that will help stop your addiction to continuous fun and of course help you focus on the business aspect.
that was really interesting. Thank you. Pretty scary to be addicted to Facebook though.
I agree with Josh..also didn't have a clue about how many still don't have internet access
Man, I could've sworn everybody had the internet....lmaoooo. I guess there is still need for stores huh.
Facebook can be an idle man's lair, but very useful as well. The statistics were just impressive, I didn't know of that detail. Thanks for the look-out tips.
yea, fb does create lies too, especially if you're a cheater...lol
I think Facebook can be a good thing if you don't let it control your life. Your stats about Internet access were enlightening.
I agree with Seth. I'm also adding some friends I don't know yet I'm doing the diligence myself in using Facebook.
I just look at Facebook as a means of communication. I already know that some of the people I have added, particularly ones from a while back ago, who really aren't my friends. They simply add me because they have that "mutual respect or acknowledgment". People who are addicted to Facebook probably need to set a time limit for themselves or just turn off there profile for a while.
