If you are struggling from opiate addiction and want to learn how to stay clean and sober then you might look into going to an opiate rehab. There you can get a new start on life by getting a clean break from the cycle of addiction.
If you need detox from drugs or alcohol then you can also get that in a medical opiate detox unit. Rehab is by no means a magic bullet and no one is going to wave a wand over you and suddenly you are cured but if you have the desire to stop using drugs and alcohol then it can give you a huge advantage on getting started on your recovery.
Many people are afraid to go to rehab, and this is perfectly understandable. For the most part, the fear is based on two things:
1) Fear of the unknown.
2) Fear of facing life without self medicating with drugs.
Both of these fears will instantly evaporate after a few days in treatment. The reasons they will be gone are because once you take the plunge and actually go into rehab, then you will face both of these fears head on and overcome them. You will do this by realizing that:
1) You are in opiate rehab and becoming familiar with the idea and things are not so bad (or scary).
2) You are facing your life without drugs and self medicating every single day and it is bearable and getting better.
If you agree to go to rehab and give this a chance to work then you can realize both of these things for yourself and then start using those positive points to build a better life for yourself in recovery. The process starts out slow but if you stick with any sort of program then you will see steady progress and your life will get better.
Of course the real challenge in recovery from opiate addiction only begins when you have true freedom and that will start when you walk out of that door at rehab. Once you are back in the real world with all of its temptations, then you will really find out if you have what it takes to stay clean.
Staying clean is not easy to do but it is actually very simple. The simple part is this simple concept right here: take massive action.
That's it. If you take massive action then you will recover and stay clean if you do not you will pay the price of going through opiate withdrawal again. Yes, you have to take massive action every day. Yes, if you slack off and become lazy you will relapse. No, there are not any shortcuts to this process. Yes, it is a lot of hard work.
But it is worth it. Commit to massive action and you will get great results.
Good luck
