Natural Features

The Great Rift Valley extends from Israel, crosses the red sea and ends in south central Africa. It crosses the region in two arms of east rift valley and west rift valley.

Mount Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa is a world heritage site and a favorite of mountain climbers.

Warm crystal clear sandy beaches.

Beautiful landscapes, savannas and grasslands.

The great annual migration is the seventh wonder of the world as hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and many other grazing animals trek from the Serengeti plains in Tanzania to Masai Mara in Kenya and back to Serengeti.

The flamingos of Lake Nakuru. Over a million flamingos feeding on the shallow lake in such a sight to see that it is called the greatest bird spectacle on earth besides more than 400 species of other birds in the lake

East Africa is also home to the big five, denizens of the jungle namely the lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino.

Bird Life.
