Bushwalking And Other Activities In the Blue Mountains

Blue mountains is one of the most popular world heritage  protected places on earth and covers a large parcel of land. Offering many interesting vistas and pristine forest for the enjoyment of both, locals and the tourists who visit the Blue Mountains.  Certainly there is a lot of nice scenery to enjoy when you decide to visit.  Here you will find many constructed walking tracks and tracks simply made through clearings in the wilderness. 

There are a number of popular bushwalking tracks in the Blue Mountains.

The National Pass of Australia which is located at Wentworth Falls, is the highest point  in Wentworth Falls and it  runs along Jamison and is very picturesque. Due to its size, walks from one day to one week can be easily planned through the park as it is easy to distinguish and trace the various paths.      

The Jenolan caves are only one hour drive from  Katoomba. This wonder displays the most spectacular and the oldest  structure in the history of the world as it contains stunning underground rivers and nine caves. The rivers are always streaming with fresh underground water making it so pristine and full of magic.

Another spectacuar walk to enjoy is when  you visit the Scenic Walkway. There you will enjoy plenty of beautiful vistas. You can walk down the mountains and look at the rugged escarpment surfaces wich manifest in different structures resembling the shapes of animals.

When you reach the Zig Zag walking track you will be able to enjoy clear views on foot within the Zig Zag walking path in Lithgow. 

The Three Sisters, three ginormous rocks  that are just across from the main lookout are outstanding and unique and a sight never to be forgotten. While you are there just call in at Information Center at the Echo Point at the top of Katoomba and right next to the Three Sisters.

There are so many activities to be enjoyed here in the Blue Mountains. You can even go for a bike ride as there are a good number of good bike riding tracks and even just riding all over the mountains is fun.

You can even go canyoning as the Blue Mountains has the oldest known canyons lik the Grand Canyon and Express Canyon which is located on the Southern end of the Grose Valley.

Always be well prepared for your walking adventure by carrying adequate clothing and some food and enough water.  Don't forget that along the way you will find many picknic spots. So take lunch with you. As you walk deep into the interior parts of the wilderness there will be many amazing sights.

Also along the many tracks there are toilets and other picnic facilities throughout the way making it posible to spend long days out bushwalking.

For the tourists there are train services available, which make transportation convenient for tourists to visit the Blue Mountains.

As you can see there are many bushwalking tracks and many other activities to enjoy when visiting the Blue Mountains in NSW. All in all it will realy appeal to anyone who is into nature, fresh air and just the good life.
