1. Snorkeling with an elephant- While many of you might have tried the usual snorkeling experience, in India, you can try the whacky version of it. 6. Chadar trek- Don’t just write this off as your usual trekking experience. It is one of the most amazing and most unique treks you will ever experience in your life. The Chadar Trek in Ladakh takes you on a trekking trail through a frozen river. Every year, during the winter season, the Zanskar River is frozen due to sub-zero temperatures. During the months of January and February, you can actually on a trek on the frozen Zanskar River. There is a white sheet all around you, with frozen waterfalls, and nothing but solitude and peace. You almost feel like you are in another world.
7. Yak safari in Ladakh- Most of us have tried horse riding, and quite a few have tried camel rising too. How about pushing the limits and try yak riding? In Ladakh, you can actually go on a yak safari. These beasts of Ladakh are the lifeline of the local people. It feels strange at first to sit stop these bulky creatures, but along the journey, you develop a fondness for these creatures. Of course, travelling through the mountains of Ladakh is always an awesome experience.
8. Waterfall Rappelling- If rappelling is no longer adventurous for you, try waterfall rappelling instead. Yes, you read that right- you rappel down a waterfall. 9. Explore Bhangarh- Bhangarh has time and again been referred to as the scariest place in the world. This ruined town in Rajasthan is actually believed to be haunted by many. In fact, entry to the town is banned after the sun goes down. Too many people have reported strange sounds and sightings in Bhangarh. Some even have horror tales to tell of kith and kin going to Bhangarh and never returning. If you are the curious and the courageous sort, go explore the ruins of Bhangarh. 10. Visit a Kumbh Mela- Ever been a rock concert? Usually, rock concerts have about 70-80,000 people jamming to crazy tunes. Just multiply that number by 2, or maybe 3. That’s the amount of people that converge all at once during the Kumbh Mela. This religious fair takes place every 12 years on the banks of River Ganga. A dip in Ganga during the fair is supposed to expunge you of all the sins. The challenge is- finding your way to the river among the crowd. On second thoughts, calling it a crowd would actually be an understatement.
