When it comes down to promoting your business you should start considering every option available. The internet has changed advertising forever, but the old techniques are still in use and will probably stay here a while longer.
These days, people might be writing less and less, or maybe they didn't write that much anyway, but what people mostly do is take notes.
This is when promotional pens come in handy.
A promotional pen will let people know about your business every time someone uses it.
When people get a hand on the pen, they should be able to notice that there is actually something written on it. Thus, you need to consider a few things when choosing the proper pen.
1. For starters, your corporate logo has to be clear enough for people to get a glance of it. Look at your logo. Analyze its length, its width. Does it include text? Could people recognize it by just looking at a corporate symbol? Will it be readable?
2. Are you choosing disposable or refillable pens? Disposable pens are a good option if budget is an issue. However, when your pen runs out of ink people will throw them away faster. And with them your company ad. The opposite will happen with a refillable pen but you will surely have to spend a little more money there.
3. You have to check if the pen is easy to use. This is what I was trying to explain when I said that people have to be able to see the pen as more than a sheer writing instrument. You need to find a pen that will make them admire it. Thus, ease of use is of crucial importance. Feel the pen. Is it comfortable to use? Does it write smoothly? Is it practical?
And this takes us to the next point...
4. Quality. Remember people will most likely relate your business to the pen they are using. You would want to give them the right impression. Put the pen to some abuse and see what happens. Does it break? leak? smudge? Does the company logo start to fade away in a couple of days?
5. Who are you planning to give the pen to? Corporate executives? Clients? Customers? People passing by? All these aspects will help you decide better. If you are planning to promote your business among corporate colleagues you might want to use a refillable pen. Now, if your intentions are just to let more and more people know about your corporation you might want to go for a good and cheap disposable pen.
Remember, choosing the right promotional pen will let people know more about your business than you think.
If you are truly serious about your company, you need to check every single detail about it. This goes as well for your promotional products, regardless of what instrument you choose to use.
Ballpoint pens are great since people still use them, or as others may say, they continue to be independent of the times.
Even if more and more people are typing now, they still have pens in their pockets.
