It's about 7:30pm and the sun presence, has begun to diminish, the weather temperature has changed, but the heat escaping from my body has increased tremendously, which has resulted in my body to sweat profusely.
This process of walking and sweating is a good sign, that I have achieve some of the results I seek, I have finally began to burn calories.
As we continue to travel along this concrete pathway, I hear and see hundreds of birds going home, once they have selected their roosting spot in the trees, they appears to chirp and fight for the best resting spot.
We are near the golf course, and as I look for the coots and ducks, the pond lay bare, and the sky has turned to a light bluish grey, with clouds appearing, displaying layers of shelves resting in the sky.
We have just finish about fifty percent of our walk, and have just crossed the highway of the adjourning street. We are not heading west.
I have begun to feel the pressure from this leg work out, but we continue on. We have just passed an area where the prime minister's office, police station, and banks once stood.
The buildings were destroyed, to make way for the new re-developement of the cable beach strip.
In the distance, I could see the beginning stages of a massive hotel, with four level of large concrete floors, with large re bars rising skyward, and layers of matted steel lying and waiting, for the workers, to cover them with concrete. With four large cranes positioned in the perimeter overlooking the construction below.
The crystal palace and S. cable beach resort comes to view, but the once grand Nassau beach hotel is no more, all I could see is the rubbles and vacant spot, where it once stood. The crystal palace and the cable beach resort, days ane numbered.
It's dark now, but we continue our walk, where we pass restaurants with porches near the highway, filled with happy tourist, who seemed like they were enjoying, our Bahamian hospitality.
We soon pass homes of politicians, the upper class and the rich. Our destination is in sight, we have reach our resting spot, a sidewalk coffee shop.
There we will sit, have a beverage of chai latte and green tea, talk relax and enjoy the scenery, as vehicles and people pass by.
We will have our second round of politics, with the general and Osborne agreeing on every issue, while Arthur and I sharing the same view, with Bob sometimes agreeing with both group on different points of view.
The discussion can sometimes be heated and confrontational, but what is so surprising is how we disagree on issues, that are current politician discourse.
It's about 9:00pm when we left the coffee shop, as we return to the cable beach police station to collect our vehicles. I have made my contribution, to help my body improve, thus providing me with the most favourable results.
Another good one Alfred, again walking there with you. I see you offer to take me on a walk if I ever get there, I will remember that, I love a good discussion specially when there are conflicting points of view. A good debate, is as good for the mind as a walk is for the body.
Dear Rob, Delighted to hear from you again, thanks for comments, and see you on your visit..
