3 Reasons Why You Should Be Promoting Your Niche In Ezines
Join 1000's of Authors at StreetArticles Today!

What is an ezine and why should I care. An ezine is typically a form of an electronic newsletter that is sent to a subscribers email address. They typically will be one page with the main body being an informative article relating to the niche of the ezine.

Reason #1- Ezine traffic is the most highly targeted traffic you will find. The people subscribe to an ezine because they care about something or want to learn more about a certain topic(niche). Generally these people have completed a double opt in.

This further qualifies them as good candidates for your product or service. Ezines are one of the most highly targeted visitors you will get. I bet you can not find a niche that there is not already an ezine in that niche. If there is not then start one. Having your own ezine is a great way to ensure you get all the traffic you could ever want.

Reason #2- No need to worry about SEO, PPC, PPV, article writing or anything like that. Typically you will pay a flat fee for you ad to run in the ezine. Advertising options include solo ads, top sponsor, middle sponsor, bottom sponsors, and classified ads.

The price is higher for solos and works it way down to the most inexpensive classified ads. Solo ads are the most responsive but do not count out classified ads. Classified ads are a great way to test out your ad copy without breaking the bank.

Reason #3 – The sheer volume of traffic you will see. The size of ezine list varies greatly. They go from 1 subscriber all the way to several hundreds of thousands. Imagine having a couple hundred thousand people visiting your website. If this one reason does not get you excited you might want to go flip burgers at McDonald’s. I hear they are hiring smiling faces. Just Kidding.

Ezines are a great place to advertise for free as well. You might be asking how you can advertise for free. Basically you will need to subscribed to the ezine. Check out a couple of issues and see what the style of the writing is. Then get in contact with the list owner and try to build up a relationship with them. Once you do offer to write an article for their ezine. Basically you are guest posting.

They usually are looking for good content. If you want to up your success rate compile a article series they could run. Imagine having 100,000 people reading your articles. That will go a long way in building your brand.

In conclusion ezine traffic is highly targeted. You will not find a more cost effective way to advertise. Ezine Traffic is great for making any niche profitable. Some marketers make their sole income from advertising in ezines. One other great thing about ezines is they are affiliate friendly. You can send your traffic straight to your affiliate link.

Advertising in ezines is one of the best ways to test out the responsiveness of any niche.

Good ideas, John. Advertising to targeted traffic that's getting to read stuff they are interested in. Probably a lot of times catching people at the exact right timing to want to look at what you've got. thanks - blessings, Cynthia

You are right, ezine is a high traffic website. I have submitted articles, but have not advertised yet. Actually my very first article was snagged and added to someone else's website. OH well.

If you have not advertised in ezines yet I would stick to ezines with less than 20,000 subscribers. Stay away from places like 2bucks an ad At least in my experiences the responses have not been that great.

Thanks for the informative article, thought about Mac Donalds, they turned me down when they saw my size (would eat all the profits) But I am busy with a company encoding a program I designed, and all this info is placed in my bank for future ref, Thanks.
