Affiliate Email Marketing - Getting More Subscribers For Beginners

Email Marketing, your invisible employee whom works 24 hours 7 days per week. Even though this maybe the case, many folks have a great deal of trouble converting their visitors to email subscribers. A lot of affiliates make the same mistakes and most of it is because no one really taught them how to set up and maintain their auto-responder properly.

Affiliate Email Marketing Tips - 5 quick & easy actionable steps

First of all how many other distractions do you have around your email subscription form? The human eye simply cannot process a lot of bright colors, objects, words and images all at once. The typical mindset of an affiliate is to add every banner, affiliate offer, Adsense blocks and Amazon Carousels to every page. This practice is just down right confusing to your visitor. There is nothing wrong promoting such but not on your email subscription page. Clean and tidy with a simple and directive call to action, converts best.

Is there anything enticing about your offer? Obviously presuming you have an offer, if you don't that would be a significant problem. A visitor has no reason to give you his or her email address. What you are giving away should aim to solve a problem in your niche. Otherwise you are effectively giving Brussel Sprouts to children! Researching your niche at the library isn't such a bad idea either. I do it all the time, you won't have to put up with the shiny object syndrome affiliate marketers are prone to. You could come up with some higher quality content to beef up your offer. If your subscribers are unsubscribing after a few emails, you can start from that point.

Another way to find out if your content is delivering quality is to ask your subscribers. At the end of each email ask them for feedback. Whether or not they enjoyed the content, did it resolve their issue or did it add to their confusion. Regardless of what type of feedback you get you can only improve and get better.

The final problem I can think of is your traffic source. Maybe you are attracting the wrong audience. It does happen and quite often. Add your site to Google Search Console and check the keywords your email responder page is ranking for. If your offer is purple cows yet you rank for green cows, there's your problem! Your content will rank under various phrases it can't stop that happening. But you can be more selective and narrow the possibilities of random rankings by adding the keywords to your title, description, the top paragraph and the last section of your content. This is different of course for a capture page as the content is somewhat light. I still add them anyway. Use a free service like Open Site Explorer. You may have acquired spammy backlinks that have no or irrelevant anchor text. It's all about analysing and on a consistent basis.

Flexible web based affiliate classes are excellent to learn in depth knowledge about email marketing and other traffic sources. I'll leave that one up to you as I am sure you will be busy analysing your email autoresponder.
