It’s hard to sugar coat the US economy right now. A huge proportion of the workforce is out of work and looking for a way to earn money. This may be a regular job working for someone else or a home based business. Either way, your needs are real, you need a legitimate way to earn money. If your circumstances are such that you are in need of a position where you can work at home, your job search gets harder because there are so many online companies that are just out to make a quick buck off your limited funds. You need some legitimate work at home jobs that will help with your finances and not take advantage of your situation.
What you really need is a way to filter out all the hype and bad stuff out there and isolate the real opportunities from the hucksters. I’d like to help you with that. First, when you see a webpage look at the top of the page. You will see three ads. These are paid ads. If you look closely you will see a different color background surrounding these ads. There is also an indicator in the upper left corner that says “Ads related to....” and your search term. These are worth skipping right over. The advertisers have seen you coming from a mile away. They are the scammers that prey on hopeful people.
The next set of 10 results on the first page are called organic results. These are the sites that are listed by the search engine that have been determined to most closely meet your desired topic. If you are not familiar with the term. These are the sites that have been SEO’d, also known as Search Engine Optimized. They are also the most relevant results for your topic. This does not mean that they are legitimate and may actually be clever marketers that understand how to increase their search engine rankings.
Returning to your filtering, there are a few things to watch for when looking through the organic search results. First, look at the page, does the site pop-up a window that is in your face and won’t let you proceed without signing-up? This is an indicator that you have reached an internet marketer and your alert should go off. Leave the page unless this is what you have expected to see. Chances are that another page will pop-up offering you something at a reduced price or another opportunity. You will need to click off the page and a box will pop-up again asking you if you really want to leave. Scam alert! Move on to another opportunity, there is only heartbreak here.
If you continue to search, you will find that there are some ways to make money online. Be aware that if you do locate these, some will still be scams but cleverly cloaked. If you ever need to pay any money to these services run away. Legitimate companies will never charge you to work with them.
Here is a list of job opportunities that are legitimate:
I hate those pop up windows! Sometimes they won't even allow you to escape out of it. You explained this very well. thanks. Lisa
