Many affiliate marketers are out looking for products to promote everyday. Some just pick any product that look appealing to them and then promote it. But if you really want to make money in affiliate marketing, you have to do research on the products you are interested in before you promote it. When you are building your foundation in your affiliate marketing business, you want to make sure you don’t promote products where the owners are hyping it up with unbelievable claims. There are good products out there and bad ones. It is up to you to make sure you are promoting something that you believe would be beneficial to your potential buyers.
There was a product I was interested in promoting from Clickbank. I wanted to know more about the product so I did my research. I went under this website called Warrior Forum to see what others were saying about this product. The product had a claim that I found to be kinda hard to deliver in a few days but it sounded very good. They claimed that if you used their software to get traffic to your urls, in a couple of days you will make this huge sum of money.
Well when I went under Warrior Forum, someone from the forum asked does the product work and they also wanted to know about the source of traffic. To make a long story short, many of the people got some traffic but no conversions. They did not make the money this product claimed they would make in a couple of days and the people were complaining they didn’t receive help from support. This is not good for any affiliate who may be promoting this product. So I made the decision not to promote it. Making an affiliate income is important to me, but the people I promote to are more important.
If you want to make money in affiliate marketing, you have to care about your potential buyers and you have to build trust. You will not build trust in this business if you are promoting products that don’t work. It is best to promote something that’s been around for a while and that is actually helping people. You may even want to consider buying it and try it first before you promote it. You can’t expect to make money in affiliate marketing if you’re promoting junk to others. Even if you do make money and you get a lot of refunds or chargebacks, you will still lose the commission anyway. So it is best to do it right the first time. Make a good impression and build trust and you will make a steady income in affiliate marketing.
When you’re considering what product to promote, think about your target market that you are selling the product too. What need is your target market trying to solve? What is the niche market that you want to fill? Research your target markets to find out what need will it be filling? This will make it easier for you to find a product to promote that they can use. Knowing the product makes it easier to explain what you are selling to potential customers. If you can, buy the product for yourself to play around with it to see if it is worth it.
Yes. The promote trust aspect of affiliate marketing is very important. Don't sell a tacky item. Do research.
I like that, make a good impression and build trust. So true. Great article.
Couldn't agree with you more. I really appreciate the advice.
I totally agree with your moral for affiliate marketing. I am exploring the affiliate marketing now and wonder how I can know the product is good or effective without trying it myself. You do provide me a good source to do the research. Thank for your sharing, Pamela.
Thanks for your comment. You can definitely see what others say about the product and it will give you a better idea if the product work. I'm glad this article helped you.
Hi! You're article is very nicely written and I appreciate the sound advice. I'm new to this and right now I'm more focused on building my foundation, like you said, and taking advantage of the fact that there is an area I can write about that I have a lot of personal experience and know-how in. I'm glad to know some ways to check something out before promoting it!
Thank you for your comment. Seeing what others have to say does help. I'm glad you found my article helpful
I see that someone's morals is still intact. Yea.. we all wish to make an income, but it does us no good if we are promoting faulty products to people. Bad for business and bad morals wise as well. Pamela you constructed a well put-together article. Best of wishes for you in Affiliate Marketing :D
Thanks for your comment. Bad products really won't do anyone no good. I wish you the best in your business also.
