Most new article marketers struggle with building a landing page. But what is a landing page? This is a page which you direct your readers from the article to. Hopefully you want them to get more information on what you have talked about in the article or you want them to sign up for a newsletter or you could be selling something on it. Think of it as a mini website.
How do you build a landing page?
Depending on your budget, you can use free resources like Googles’s Blogger to build it or you can use paid resources. Either way, what you want to do is have a page which the reader who has come from the article finds relevant. If your article was about race cars, you do not want to direct that reader to a landing page that talks about dog training. Everything about that landing page should be relevant to the topic of race cars. It should offer valuable information to the reader.
The landing page invites the reader to take some kind of desired action. It can be to sign up for updates or newsletter, buy some product or service or a redirection to find out more information regarding the topic under discussion.
You should always check with the article publishing site you are using for what is acceptable or not but by far most would want a write up of at least 250 words or relevant content.
Where do you place affiliate links?
Affiliate links, those links that earn you the money when a reader clicks and buys something, are tricky to place. What I have found to work is to place an affiliate link within the first paragraph and one in the last paragraph. For some reason that works so I am not changing. I also make sure to put an affiliate link on the pictures I use on the landing page. Every link counts but you also don’t want to spam your reader.
Put Your Face on It
These days, the internet is maturing in many ways. I am personally convinced that the days of faceless affiliate marketing are over. This is because many people have been scammed and they have learned to do their due diligence before they buy or take any step on your landing page. So what I do is to put my picture on that page and write a little bio about myself or why I am interested in that particular niche. I do not include email me links or links to other sites that I have. Why? Because I want the reader t take action on this particular page, action that translates to some benefit for me.
These are the things you need to know about building landing page for article marketing. It does not need to be complicated, just something that converts is the idea. When you master this aspect of article marketing, you will find it very a very rewarding way to make money online.
