The Social Aspect Of Internet Marketing

We all know the social network has been taken over by Facebook, which has its applications in every available network from Microsoft to Bank of America. Really!? I'm going to click on "Like" for Bank of America because we're just great friends and I want all of mine to know about it. Well, Facebook is integrated in so many networks that its far more dynamic than just friends and fun, and to believe Facebook is just a friends list with games and applications is in the past. Now, it is a Free social and business medium that can save you thousands in funds spent gaining the exposure it would normally take months to build.

Keeping with Tradition

Facebook has also busted down the doors of "tradition" by implementing their applications in business and personal networks. Am I saying use Facebook to promote and sell products? No, there are salesmen and women for that, and keeping with the format that Facebook has; it is ideal to give "Likes" to businesses that have benefited you. Some businesses will pay you a percentage of any products purchased online that originated from you directing them to their site. Verizon has this, and many other big name companies will pay you to be an affiliate marketer.

How is this keeping with tradition? It's actually evolving from our built in work ethic of "going" to work and hoping for a lot of customers, whereas the Internet has potentially 3 billion customers 24/7, 365 days a year. Plus we don't have to spend 8, or 10, or 12 hours working hard to make that $80, $100, or $200 in a normal day's work. Affiliate marketing can be done before or after your traditional job.

Multi-Tasking and time management is very important to master because one of your responsibilities may suffer without developing good time management habits. Wealthy Affiliate offers a 30 day success plan. Usually 5 to six tasks to accomplish in the given day and it's averaging around an hour or two of productivity. The first 30 days of planning online income is the most important "extra" effort you can use to develop the time management tasks that will evolve into positive work habits; creating a work/life balance that reduces stress and creates more results in your personal and professional life.

Networking for Success

All of the vehicles for your success are in place, and the best part is most of it is free. Ten dollars a year for a website, and a possible membership to Wealthy Affiliate is the only cost, plus a couple hours a day, and you are on the way to financial freedom, and what's even more attractive is the "no promoting or selling" rule!!

It's Internet Marketing and I'm not selling?.... Absolutely!!

Let's put it into perspective...I've spent probably two hours altogether in this article, and the main topic is the merging of social networking, publishing articles, affiliate marketing, and revenue made from the combination of these actions. Each topic could be a paragraph, maybe later! Here's the catch - if I help just one person put the pieces of the puzzle together, then my time was worth it!:)

The best and most honest aspect is publishing articles that benefit your peers. Your not pushing a product - rather, you are writing quality content that helps those you target in the articles. Creating an audience will happen and soon, you'll find that people look forward to your future helpful articles!!

Street Talk

Good article. I agree, there is so much to learn and do that you have to figure out how to multi-task. Thanks for this

Thanks for this response as it helps to see the bigger picture that social networking is great fun, especially when the goal of the network is to locate and reunite with past friends and long lost family. I think social networking is definitely far reaching past the boundaries of just fun with friends and family. The networks overlap into our work and daily routines, hopefully finding that happy medium of not neglecting work duties, while having fun with friends and the dreaded time-snatching Farmville games like on Facebook! lol! There's a vast reality waiting to be built with all the assets found with being in touch with the social aspect as our friends on Facebook alone can have people from every state and worldwide locations as well. I'm fortunate to know everyone on my friends list and they cover probably 35-40 states....I dream of the day when we could build a company together!!! The possibilities are endless!:)

This is very similar to what Kyle was talking about in his blog. I am working on spending more time with social networks. That way I can share ideas and other people can share them with me. Social networking can be lots of fun.

Thanks for reading this, and what you said reminds me of when I started college (online), and it took me literally six hours to post a "Discussion Response" in the main forum, but directed at the Instructor- (275) words, and two substantive posts (2-3 sentences) to classmates, and now I blast out a DQ in less than 30mins. Thing is - it was the audience that caused me to take six hours, and it relates to this big time, because a few people may technically not have the time if they know it will be six hours for an article, lol! Good thing I wasn't working full-time back then!!;) But I think there's a good topic here - something you can use for an instructional piece that really does help all of us, even the experts!

Yeah, subject matter is critical. If I personally am engaged in a topic, have an opinion about a topic, or just enjoy writing about a certain niche, I can produce content as fast as I can type. Typing becomes the limitation...and that is what it should be within any content you do online. Read and understand a topic, and then portray your own thoughts in the form of content and you will be a very successful other online and this is the framework for a successful business.

As you mention, "it can be done before and after your traditional job". I 100% agree with this and I don't believe the excuse people have that they don't have time. If you really want anything, you will make time. Instead of watching American Idol, spend an hour working on your online stuff. Since you can literally choose any niche to create your business from, it does not have to be something that you don't enjoy doing. In fact, it shoudl be the opposite. Something that you are passionate about, this way you will look forward to working on your online business in your spare time.
