Work After Retirement

Retirement. A time to look forward to for some. A time to worry about for others. The others know they will have to work after retirement in order to maintain their current lifestyle.

I for one have never looked forward to retirement. For one thing it meant I would be a lot older than I cared to admit but the main thing was what would I do with my time. I knew I wouldn’t have enough money to maintain my lifestyle unless the economy did a quick turn around. Well that hasn’t happened so what to do

To this point I have continued to wear the tools (I’m an electrician). It has worked well to this point but I know I can’t do it forever which has led me to look at other avenues to supplement my income.

I have thought about mowing grass at a golf course, working part time at a big box store and many other typical part time jobs. The only drawback for me was the fact that I would not be able to work at times that were convenient for me. This probably sounds selfish to many but the older you get the more important you realize your time is.

I wanted to do something that I really enjoyed but still had control of my time. At first it didn’t seem that there were many avenues available. Then I started to pay attention to an idea I had heard a lot about but had never checked out. That idea was using the internet to make money.

I found that there were a multitude of people/companies who wanted to help me make a million dollars in a short period of time. I might have been born at night but it wasn’t last night . I knew I needed to find people and companies that had a solid reputation for producing what they promised.

After floundering around for most of a year I was lucky enough to find a local person who had been there and done that. He has helped me establish a website and directed me to a company that has the solid reputation I was looking for.

With his help I have decided on affiliate marketing as the tool I will use to start making an income from internet marketing. The company I signed up with has all the tools necessary to make my endeavor a successful one. My investment has been modest thus far and I can opt out of the company I signed up with at any time without penalty.

Thanks Cynthia, I like the photo also but i'm having trouble maintaining resolution when I resize the pictures.

John, I've drawn pictures using MS Paint. Same problem! Not sure what the solution is. I've tried drawing BIG then resizing smaller. That seems to help sometimes. As does filling in the spaces when going small to big -- with pencil to circle and paint-bucket to fill each circle. Just learning... blessings, Cynthia
