Are You Still Drinking Tap Water?

Wow, the age old debate about Fluoride is alive and well and many experts are saying it is responsible for lower IQs in our children, heart risks, and on and on, but yet these people are still drinking tap water!

I wrote an article a few days ago and a fellow author here told me he took Fluoride tablets in school, it was in his water at home, and in his toothpaste. then he asked how much was too much?

Well, I did a bit of research on this and it depends on who you ask. Some say it is harmless and others say you could grow a third arm!

My take on the whole debate is quite simple. Wether it is harmful or not, I want the purest, cleanest water coming out of my taps that is possible, period. If I want something added to my water I will add it myself.

I do not need the Government or the Dental Association or Moby Dick to tell me what I should be drinking. That is beauty of freedom of choice, and when Government decides what is good for me my choice is taken away. I do not like that!

That being said there are a few ways to make sure this and anything else for that matter that might be in the water supply dos not make it out of my taps.

I have taken the step of installing a complete whole house multi stage water filter system and I gotta tell ya, the quality of my water can not longer be compared to anything I had before the system.

Soap lasts longer, clothes get cleaner, and taking a shower in pure water is a whole new experience!

My town adds Chlorine to the water supply every month and when they do the whole house used to smell like a swimming pool, and the water was so cloudy you could not see through it. Now, to me this can't be a good thing!

Not anymore! My water has no smell and is clear as a spring fed stream in the mountains, just the way I want it! Fluoride in tap water? Not anymore in my house.

This is one investment I made that will pay for itself over and over again and I wanted to share with all of you just how wonderful clean water can be!

I hope this helps inform people that having clean water is so important for you, your children and your pets, and I will never go back to unfiltered water again.

Great article Shawn and I totally agree. The conspiracy believer in me wouldn't be shocked to learn that fluoride is added to water, toothpaste etc as a way to dumb the population down a little so that we are happy being worker drones. I always buy fluoride free toothpaste and use a water filter at home. When we go abroad we always buy bottled water. I've looked at reverse osmosis before and it's a great system. I must take another look at it and find a way to get it installed.

Shawn, Like you said, we get enough fluoride from toothpaste. Has anybody done a study to compare the difference in mental, physical and dental health between people who drink well water or untreated bottled water, compared to treated city water? Jerry

I have been looking fore information, but foir some reason it is so guarded. Every expert has a different opinion. Seems to be a very slippery slope.

My dentist still insists flouride can't hurt you. Hah! And he insists a yearly Xray can't hurt either. Hah! I buy Tom's of Maine toothpaste that has no flouride.

Nice one Shawn. I get my water from the stream by my house and although I rarely drink it, it's nevertheless very pure.

Great article Shawn. Fluoride is a toxic byproduct of the production of fertilizers and refining of aluminum, which threatens all of our environment. Studies of the proliferation are scary to say the least and demonstrate all kinds of collateral damage to flora and fauna. Yet, it is still amazingly, pushed through the media a s a health product!

If it is a charcoal or fiber filter it is better than not having one, but does not catch all that is should. LOL on the IQ!

wow... for the past six months of my stay in the United States, I have been having the tap water, here, my friends said, that the tap water was very pure, but somehow, I was having stomach problems off and on, I blamed it on everything except the tap water, because my husband, who has been living here for the past eight years haven't had any problems as such... I can now see where that's coming from... thank you for this article... :)

Drinking the water regularly builds up a bit of tolerance to the impurities in it. You having never drank it regularly, could easily be feeling the effects of the water. Thanks for reading!
