No, I don’t mean garlic cloves. I mean those funny brown sticks with the little buds on the end that you put in ham to make it look pretty for the holidays. Those little brown sticks that you throw away once you cut the ham. They have absolutely amazing health benefits.
Did you know that cloves are hand-picked and they only grow in tropical climates. They are actually a pink flower bud that isn't opened yet from a clove tree. Inside of the clove is a yellow colored oil that is actually an anti-inflammatory.

Excellent article, Cathy. I'm with Joan, I like chewing them. I use cloves in many recipes. I bought one of those little spice grinders so I can make freshly ground spices. A jar of whole cloves is very inexpensive and will last for a very long time. Mother Nature is loaded with wonderful remedies for nearly all chronic health challenges.
