Jfk, Mlk, Bobby (kennedy) Improved My Life Dramatically As Did Kratom

We all have milestones in our lives. Memories that are etched in stone. For instance I can remember where I was when I heard JFK was killed, Bobby too, and MLK. I remember where I first saw The Beatles (on Ed Sullivan). I remember meeting my wife Lee in Portland, Oregon. Oddly enough, I remember the moment I discovered the analgesic pain-relief herb kratom.

On several levels, I realize that sounds disrespectful and even mean-spirited, but please read the rest of my story. I was a true follower of those great men. I’m not comparing them to “an herb” like kratom. I grew up in rural Mississippi, and they were the only ones to reveal to me the “other side of the story; the true side of the story. That change was needed where I resided. Big change.

Some of that change was painful, some not, but I was willing to do it to help bring my state into the (then) twentieth century. I did my part. Sadly there were far too many on “the other team” who, though they followed the law, created subtle hate dramas that kept my beloved state stuck in the past, where, of course, it remains.

On the other hand, with the chronic severe pain I experienced later in life from accidents, surgeries, heart disease, and a myriad of other ailments, the medical community felt prescription pain meds were going to be a major part of my life and as years went by it would decrease the quality.

On April 4th 2013, I discovered kratom only by accident. The difference it made in my life was so monumental and so positive, I could only compare it to the lessons learned from the great icons of my early youth. The impact, the power that it gave me over my own destiny; as silly as it sounds to some, sounds absolutely serious to me.

When I was young, I had heard stories of people “curing themselves of cancer” with various medicinal herbs” and was always fascinated. While in my 20s, I opened a health food store and made sure it had a large herbal department with plenty of books about herbs; even what was considered the bible of herbology back then “Back To Eden”.

I was very unaware of what I was talking about and/or doing. How do I know that now? I simply regurgitated to my customers what the herbal and vitamin salespersons were telling me. And why would they lie to me? I was young and nave. The answer is easy now. Why, to sell their product, of course.

Today I know that many herbs that have medicinal value, don’t have a lot of it. Others have more than enough. Certain forms like organic herbal tinctures are much more effective than say capsules or tablets and especially non-organics. When one buys non-organic herbs and/or vitamins, in addition to “the good stuff” in them, they must also digest the chemicals, insecticides, fillers, often GMOs etc.

Learning these important factors in my life, I consider milestones. I’ve lost too many friends and family at young ages only because they felt compelled to “make their own health rules”. Nature is kind, but nature makes the rules.

I am learning that nature supplies us with all we need. That includes for pain relief. According to research, kratom has seven times the potency of morphine and is about as habit forming as coffee. Who wouldn’t prefer it to Vicodin, etc.? Doctors of course. And pharmacists. That’s their biggest sellers. And they kill tens of thousands of people per year. There has not been one reported death from the herb kratom. And please believe me if you find a good vendor, stick with it (as there are many bad ones out there). I got lucky and found one.

Given the huge differences in these milestones, it would not seem as if the discovery of an herb that has been on the planet probably since the beginning of time, and been used as an analgesic and/or coffee drink in Southeast Asia for over 1000 years, and my latent discovery of it should be in my major milestones.

However, let me add a little history of my life. I am a 59 year old heart patient with congestive heart failure. I suffer from some chronic ailments that cause severe pain. One of them, I suspect is neuralgia which has attacked my gums. Another is tendinitis. When one has had 3 angioplasty procedures as I have, it is of great importance to keep pain to a minimum. This has not been possible for the past 3-4 years. I refuse to take hydrocodone and oxy-type drugs due to their side effects, and over the counter meds and Tramadol work (sometimes) but its very hit-or-miss.

I was reluctant to try kratom due to all the frightening articles about it on the web; and the fact that 12-step programs treat it as a drug. It is on the U.S. Government’s list of “drugs of concern”. Suddenly I had that “dj vu” feeling. So was marijuana and in 1935 the U.S. government helped big pharma demonize the use of marijuana with a film titled “Reefer Madness” while people suffered for years from ailments that could have been remedied by pot.

So I studied a bit further and read scientific research with references such as on the kratom Wiki page. It is not only not harmless, it is less addictive than coffee. Yes, it can be abused but so can it’s cousin coffee.

I tried several vendors who sent me kratom that was either old or not kratom at all, or kratom mixed with lawn leaves. I was determined to find good kratom because scientific research claimed that it had about seven times the power of morphine, with less addictive tendency than coffee.

Finally I found a vendor who cared named Tim and he became “my expert”. I say that a bit in jest, but surely he turned out to understand the product better than anyone in the business and was willing to share it with me. He was and is also willing to take another 10% off his already low prices when a customer types in the coupon code “Twitter”.

So with quality product, and already low prices, how could I even think of shopping elsewhere? Whereas I used to have trouble walking across my home, today I mountain hike with my wife/nature and wildlife photographer Lee Hiller who runs the popular blog Hike Our Planet.

Rick London is a songwriter, musician, writer, designer and cartoonist. He is also a chronic sufferer of severe pain. Not able to tolerate the majority of prescription, he is grateful he found the strongest kratom from Kratom-K. He also appreciates the 10% off the already low prices when one types "Twitter" into the coupon code box at ceheckout. London's offbeat cartoons and funny gifts are Google's #1 ranked since 2005 and Bing's #1 ranked since 2005.
