After shooting a lot of videos, you are now ready to edit them. But before you can do that, you must have a software for editing videos. Well, there are so many of them actually and you can even grab free ones. However, if you are really serious in video editing, I suggest buying those paid video editing softwares. I mean, you can just choose one from them. I know it's hard to choose which one you should get so let me help you by suggesting some great video editing softwares.
Software for Editing Videos 1st Suggestion - Adobe Premiere Pro
I had been using Adobe Premiere Pro through the years and I'm completely satisfied with it. It's a professional video editing software that is being used also by TV and Movie industries. With today's version which is CS5, it is compatible with the latest video cameras and even DSLRs. It can handle full HD videos that is popular nowadays. It comes with lots of features that caters all your needs in video editing. One of my favorite is the ultra keyer that makes the cleaning of blue screen and green screen a lot easier. The use of media encoder in exporting also allows you to edit while exporting videos at the same time.
Software for Editing Videos 2nd Suggestion - Final Cut Pro
Another professional video editing software that is being used specially for Mac users is the Final Cut Pro. The new version which is Final Cut Pro X gives revolutionary editing with its magnetic timeline. It also features powerful media organization through the use of metadata keywords. This software also has an incredible performance in using the full power of Mac for fast video editing.
Software for Editing Videos 3rd Suggestion - Sony Vegas
Another video editing software that is also becoming popular nowadays is the Sony Vegas. It might not be as professional as the two that I mentioned above but it also does a pretty good job in video editing. The good thing also with this software is that it is easier to use and it is cheaper. With its price however, you can create stereoscopic 3D editing. It also has superior audio control and supports many video formats. You can even burn Blu-Ray disc directly from it.
Other software for editing videos that I can suggest are Edius and Avid. You can even check out a lot of free video editing softwares out there. But again, if you want to work better in your video editing, you better buy a professional video editing software. You might need to spend a bit but don't worry because its worth it anyway. You get what you pay for as they say.
There might be a lot of video editing softwares that you can check out but you don't have to spend years in choosing one. Just check the features that can serve your needs. Anyway, the final product of your videos does not depend on the software. It depends on how good you are in editing those videos.
I'm also using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effect for Video editing. It is really great software for video editing.
Good article, I agree that Software you pay for can be better than free stuff.
