How Do Facial Exercises Work?

You may have heard about facial exercises and how they can lift, firm and tone the skin on your face and neck. A facial exercise facelift is completely natural and does not require any surgical procedures or downtime. But how do facial exercises work?

Facial exercises work the muscles throughout the face and neck. By using resistance movements, these muscles regain their tone. Much like the other parts of your body that need toning, facial muscles respond in the same way.

They are a series of 28 targeted exercises, performed in a specific order, that work these weakened muscles to bring them back to a more toned and defined state.

Other benefits of the routine include better blood flow, more efficient elimination of toxins and helping collagen to re-build under the skin.

You can use facial exercises to tone any of the muscles in the face and neck. All muscles respond to the exercises, particularly when they are met with resistance. The “resistance” comes in the form of performing the movements while lying down.

While the exercises are easy to perform and the routine goes quickly, don’t be fooled into thinking that they won’t make a difference in the depth of wrinkles and fine lines, the ability to lift sagging skin and improving the overall texture and tone of your skin.

Every muscle from those in your forehead, around and under your eyes, cheeks, mouth, jaw and neck can be lifted and smoothed out with some simple toning movements.

Much like working out your body, do not expect to see results overnight or within a couple of days. You will have to get yourself on a workout program and perform the exercises consistently.

The good news is that once you master the moves, you can buzz through your routine in just 15 minutes per day.

The thing you will notice right away is better-looking skin, with a noticeable improvement in the texture and clarity in a short time. The longer you do the exercises, the better the results.

Plan to work the routine into your daily schedule 3-5 days per week. You want to take a break for at least two days per week, to rest the muscles.

How do facial exercises work? Quite simply, by performing a series of resistance moves to firm up and tone the underlying muscles in your face and neck. The results include less fine lines, a continued softening and smoothing out of deep wrinkles, elimination of jowls and a more firm, defined jawline and neck.

With the time you put into styling your hair, manicuring your nails and shaving your legs, only you can decide if an extra 15 minutes per day to perform facial exercises would be worthwhile for you.

I had radiation to my face and my face gained 15 years of age in 3 months but when I said jokingly to my doctor that I needed a facelift, he said to go to the library and get a book and learn how to do facial exercises.....he was right...This is a great post
