There are many ways in which you can learn how to cure anxiety and panic attacks without having to take prescription medication or live a life in anxious agony. Remember, it doesn't have to come from a pill bottle to be effective!
So, what can I do to alleviate my anxiety symptoms?
Desensitize Yourself:
When something in this life makes you anxious it becomes easy to avoid doing that particular thing doesn't it? Well, that also doesn't help you one bit in becoming free from anxiety.
The opposite approach is to face that situation or task knowing that it may trigger some anxiety but with an end result of making it better. Each time you perform the anxiety trigger you should get less of a brain response in the form of panic attacks.
After a while your brain no longer associates that behavior with any anxiety at all. It really does work that easy too, try it out. Of course this doesn't mean you are magically cured instantly of course. It does take some work, but the benefits are well worth it.
Take a walk/run:
You have likely heard this one before and may not given it much credit. The truth is that when you get some exercise, even moderate amounts you begin to breathe deeper. This physical reaction can not be avoided no matter how much anxiety you may have.
The human body can not be anxious and breathing deeply at the same time!
If you want to really amp it up, get on a treadmill and run a mile or so. In addition to decreased anxiety you sleep much better at night, and anxious people generally are lacking in sleep so this is a great benefit.
Don't stop living your life:
The best way to let panic attacks win and rule your life is to give up and stop living. It's hard to go out and try to enjoy life when you are miserable isn't it? But staying at home all the time probably hasn't made you feel any better thus far and will likely not work in the future for your anxiety disorder.
Learning how to cure anxiety and panic attacks is a skill that can be mastered. Once you are able to let go of what your mind is trying to tell you and place your own positive thoughts and actions in its place, the world is yours.
As with anything in life, the best cure or remedy for anything including severe panic attacks is to be armed with the knowledge that will put you one step closer to winning the battle.
