Most panic attack remedies that people have heard of deal with taking prescription medications like Zoloft, Xanax or Paxil, but what they don't want you to know is that not only are these medicines not always necessary, but they often cause pretty severe side effects.
Ironically, even though it is rare, some panic attack medications can actually cause panic attacks. Not only that but they can cause insomnia, weakness, loss of appetite, suicidal thoughts or even hallucinations. I don't know about you, but the last thing I want to do when trying to get rid of my panic attacks is to cause bigger problems. And while medications may be necessary for some people with really severe attacks, it might be better to try some natural remedies first before deciding to go on a medication.
There are so many panic attack remedies that don't deal with medications, all you have to do is look. I did a little research after suffering from a couple of severe attacks and found two resources that helped me greatly. One is called Panic Away and is a simple e-book you can download instantly. It taught me what was happening to my body during an attack and how to deal with it; not only to lessen the severity but also to help me avoid them in the future. It was invaluable information that kept me from needing to seek any medical advice and possibly medications.
After I found Panic Away I stumbled across another book by Eckhart Tolle, the author of The Power of Now. While The Power of Now was a very powerful book that helped me greatly, I found his newest book A New Earth to be much more helpful with anxiety and depression. It took things a step farther than Panic Away and really opened my eyes to how strong our thoughts can be; how much they can affect our bodies.
Between these two panic attack remedies I have gotten my panic attacks under control, pulled out of a mild depression and am finally able to be content with the way things are, good or bad. It is a constant battle between you and your brain, but once you are aware that the thoughts are not you, it makes it that much easier to get out of your head, stop your panic attacks and really start living your life.
You don't have to let panic attacks run your life any longer, find out more about these two resources that have changed my life and many others.
