Essential Oils for Positivity

A Positive Frame of Mind...

We are our thoughts. Have you heard that saying before? Our thought is possibly the most powerful tool we have, some people say that we can design our future with our thoughts and determine whether it will be full of happiness or not.

We are in control of what we think about and we can control the ‘mind monsters’ instead of sometimes allowing them to control our state of mind.

We’ve all heard the ‘glass half full’ or ‘glass half empty’ expression to determine whether a person is a happy, optimistic type of person or a negative, pessimistic type, right? This does make an interesting point because our assessment of our own reality is altered by our attitude.

In my opinion, as humans, we are able to adopt a more positive attitude and outlook on life. Yeah sure we all have negative thought s from time to time but I’m talking about the inherently negative type of person and I’m pretty sure that we all know at least one of these, right?

A good place to start is to tell yourself that when you realise your thought is of a negative nature, you will stop that thought right in its tracks and think a more positive thought in its place. For a very basic example, let’s say you have to go food shopping and you say to yourself, ‘I can never find a parking space when I need one’. Guess what, 9 times out of 10 you will end up driving around and around not being able to find a space right away. I know this because this used to be me!

The next time I went shopping I decided to try something a little different. I took control of the negative thought and told myself that I would be able to park with no trouble at all, the thought of finding a parking space didn’t concern me one little bit, I had no negative attachment to finding a parking space and guess what? As I drove into the car park, a space became available right in front of me! This stuff really works!

What I’ve outlined above is a very basic example. The example I gave of the initial thought about not being able to find a parking space is not an extremely negative thought, and it’s one that I bet most of us can relate to. But this type of stopping a negative thought in its tracks and replacing it with a positive one really does work. Over time iIt becomes easier and easier to notice a negative thought and change it. Before you know it, your thoughts are mostly on the positive side and your life is that much happier and healthier because of it.

Positive people build plans to improve their chance of success. Positive people are pro-active, not day dreamers. Positive people set realistic goals and they don’t blame themselves or others if life doesn’t always go as expected.

Life has good and bad elements to it but the trick is to find a balance where there is more good than bad. To believe that good will always triumph over bad can be difficult at times, especially when we see so much bad stuff happening in the world, but we tend to forget life’s simple pleasures.

Essential oils are like little bundles of positivity, gently nudging a person towards a more positive, naturally healthy frame of mind. Like most things in life, essential oils work better with positivity or at the very least a neutral state of mind. Try to use them with positive intent and purpose. A room diffuser can create a positive atmosphere in the home or at work. So can a massage or even a couple of drops on a tissue or hankie.
