Using essential oils are a very natural way to heal your body. They have great qualities that help your bodies spiritual, physical, and psychological well being. I have been using aromatherapy for quite sometime now, and absolutely love the way I feel when using it. I'm going to show you in this article different ways to use essential oils. This is good for massage therapists, Spa owners, or just anyone wanting to learn!
The first safe, and most efficient method is making an ointment. You would get a base cream or gel, wheatgerm oil, and about 8-10 drops of the essential oil. This will be a good method to use for a specific area, that you can apply to.
Compresses are another way that you can apply to an affected area. There are two types hot or cold compresses. When using hot compress this is good for chronic backaches, rheumatic pain, and osteoarthritis. To make a hot compress you would fill a bowl with hot water. Add 2-3 drops of essential oils to the water. Place a cloth into water, wring, and apply to affected area. Cold compresses are made the same way but with cold water. This method is good for headaches, bruises, and sprains.
Steam Inhalation clears the lungs and sinus passages from mucous congestion and infection. You would add 2-3 drops to a pint of boiled water. Drape a towel over the top. Breathe in the steam for about 1-2 minutes. Repeat.
Using essential oils in a bath is the most relaxing method. This will relax the nerves and soothe aches. Fill a bath with warm water. Add 8-10 drops of essential oils to a full bath. Stir well. Relax in the bath for atleast 10 minutes.
To add fragrance to a room and relaxation. The oil diffuser is a good method. Simply add water to the top of basin. Add 4-5 drops of essential oils of choice. Add your tea light to the bottom. Within in minutes you well smell the aromas of the oils. This method is great for meditation.
These are all great methods to get efficient results of aromatherapy. I can go on and on about these different methods and how they work, but I just wanted to briefly share this so that you can get right into using essential oils and start feeling good with its natural healing properties. It may not be for you. Its definitely worth a shot, and you will love the way you feel as much as i do!
