There are literally millions of people that aren’t sure what is going on with their body, and many of them are dealing with the stress and pain involved with an ailment that is known as gout. This malady harms a great deal of people from all walks of life, and can cause havoc. There are several symptoms to look for, but understanding what the root causes are is important. The major problem with this health disorder is uric acid, and whether it is being under produced or over produced. For some it’s interesting to note that they don’t even know anything is wrong, until they go to a doctor and get properly diagnosed.
There are 4 major ways you can tell if you or someone you know has gout. This disorder can be very painful for some, while others can feel minor discomfort for long periods of time. Before we get into the many symptoms, it’s important to understand that this is not a deadly disease or anything like that. Yes, it can cause harm, but it’s important to realize that it can be cured. Do not panic if you have the following symptoms. Make sure though that at the first symptom of gout you seek medical help.
The first symptom of gout is pain in the joints. The pain should start in the evening, and often strike without warning, causing a person to have sharp pain isolated in the joints. It’s imperative to realize whether the pain started upon going to bed or whether it happened upon rising, either way it’s something to consider. If the symptoms prolong over time, it’s vastly important to get help or look into remedies.
The second symptom of gout is injury sustained to the foot. Whether you stub your toe one day and then feel pain another day, or you fall and get right back up, only to feel pain later on in the month, it’s important to understand why and where your pain is isolated. Many will have pain in the toe while others will have isolated pain in the ankle, all of which are not due to immediate injury.
The third symptom of gout hinges on the above two. If you start to feel tension and pain that continually grows harsher and harder, it’s important to look into whether or not you have gout. If pain is constant, increasing, it’s imperative to get healed of this ailment.
The fourth symptom of gout is dealing with pain in a variety of places. Many people do not feel pressure or pain when going to bed, but if you have this medical disorder, you’ll feel it even if you’re in a soft place. Any pressure will set it off, which is why it’s imperative to watch out for any symptom listed above.
