Article marketing or as it is better known to beginners as bum marketing is a means for you get the word out about the products and services which you provide through news articles distributed online or in other types of publications.

Here are some great bum marketing tips to get you started in promoting and distributing articles about your products and services that really work:

1. Make Sure Your Articles Titles Reflect Your Product.

One of the best bum marketing tips is to make sure the articles you are putting out entice your potential customers to want it. You need to make sure the title has a fine balance of your chosen keyword suitable for the product you are marketing, as well as something catchy that really makes your writing stand out in the search engine results.

If you don’t do this, no one is going to even open the article to read it!

Take a look at other articles online and see how they are worded. The ones with the most reads are the ones you want to emulate. Not all directories do but the bigger ones usually have it. Right at the bottom of the page in most cases.

2. Give your readers the data they need.

What makes your articles worth something to your potential clients is if it provides all the information they need to understand it and want to find out more.

Make sure you give them as much information possible to make that happen. Be sure to focus on the topics that your clients need to understand what it does, why it does it, how well it does it. SInce bum marketing is used for affiliate purposes there's no need to go into the cost of anything. The article is pure information and no sales pitch anywhere.

3. Make your articles only long enough to tell the story.

Only make your articles as long as you need to in order to get the useful points across. Try getting three to five great points off that mean the most to explain what is needed to know about your industry, niche or whichever sector your in. Remember, you're also building credibility with each article.

A good word length so you don’t lose their attention is about 300 to 500 words. Also, don’t use big words. Most people want to read something conversational and easy to follow.

4. Number of articles.

Try to put out enough articles and list them on enough sites to get the word out about your product or services. You want to get the most exposure possible so people will know you exist. Make sure your articles are good quality and try to get into that habit of writing at least one article per day to enhance your experience. You'll get faster as time goes by and eventually be producing 5-10 articles in a day.

5. Make your Resource Box Worth It.

When you list your articles online some directories offer a resource box area where you have to put information about yourself or whatever it is their guidelines are. Make sure it is very powerful and enticing and will attract customers and inspire them to get to your site or anothers if that's what you are doing.A powerful resource box will make want to read more on what you have to offer and it's a good idea to offer something for free.

These and other bum marketing tips will help you to write better articles and therefore be able to get clients for your products and services.
